About Us
Sussex ISC, Seaford, is an Independent, International Study Centre for students whose first language is not English, aged from 11-18 years. The Study Centre is situated on the outskirts of Seaford, East Sussex, in an area of outstanding natural beauty. By providing a happy and purposeful environment in which students can thrive, we hope to make their time with us an enjoyable learning experience.
On arrival, each student sits a placement test and attends an interview to ensure that they are placed in the correct class. Each individual is helped to achieve his or her full potential so that they are able to develop at a pace consistent with their abilities. By catering for a range of ability, beginner to advanced, our flexible teaching arrangements allow each student to excel.
As the Headmaster of Newlands School, I am delighted that we have the opportunity of welcoming overseas students into our warm and friendly community.
The International Study Centre is located within our wonderful 21 acres site, giving students instant access to the wealth offacilities available. Staff have a wide experience in supporting students from a diverse range ofcountries and cultures and we pride ourselves on delivering high pastoral care to all students.
The individual attention given to students allows them to develop both socially and academically so that they can progress on to their next stage of education within the UK. Students from Newlands have, over the last few years, gone on to enter well established and reputable universities including Oxford, Durham, Nottingham, Southampton, Manchester, Bristol, UCL, Queen Mary’s and the University of Kent.
