Cultural Trips & Activities

We are pleased to offer a varied and exciting programme of activities and trips, designed to help all students adapt to English culture and English boarding school life. We organise regular excursions which include current musicals and plays, seasonal events and visits to places of historical and cultural interest such as museums and castles. We aim to help students broaden their horizons and develop their interests in British culture..

Music

Many students are able take individual lessons in a wide range of instruments and regular performances allow young musicians to develop confidence. Modern music technology equipment is available to students who want to compose for examination requirements or for personal interest.

ICT

Our staff ensure that all students develop and maintain their skills in ICT and take an active part in these lessons.

Art & Design

Students will develop their own individual talents in the Centre’s superbly well-equipped suite of creative studios for art, ceramics, photography and design technology.

Sport

Sussex ISC enjoys the superb sports facilities at Newlands School. Team games such as cricket, hockey, netball, rugby and socccer are played regularly against other schools. We also offer swimming, basketball, volleyball, tennis, golf and table tennis. Opportunities for activities such as sub-aqua diving, sailing and riding are also provided.
